We have started work on the conversion kit for the newer model Smart. This is the model that is officially imported into the US and is often referred to as the '451'
We will keep the site updated with details but we are expecting to have a kit available around the end of June 2008

Well the measuring is done and the sub-frame is in fabrication right now. The frame is being made to take the K7 (2007) onwards engine and the first car should start going together next week.
Early signs are that there may be room for a Hayabusa engine as there is more space in the new car. We will look at the options once the body and frame come together but this will not be available for a little while yet as other components will also need to be modified / designed to suit a different engine and electrical system.

Nearly there now. The subrame and engine are in the car and should be together in the next week or so. The new kit uses GSXR1000 engines from the K5 to K8 models (2005 - 2008).
As soon as this is together we will be looking at fitting a Hayabusa engine (already got one sitting on the workshop floor waiting) as there is a bit more space in the back of the newer models.

I know it has been a while since the last update. The 451 kit is together now and is available for purchase, details of pricing will follow. If you want more info just drop us a mail using the contact us link on the left. We have not developed a busa engined version as yet because the GSXR is a much better and newer engine design. If someone really wants to go the busa route we would be happy to either build or help to build a custom version.
